Defence Component Machining in Sweden – CNC Milling & Turning
Sweden combines an advanced aerospace industry with sophisticated land-systems engineering, and as a new NATO member it is deepening its industrial links across the alliance. That opens the door for qualified subcontracting from Germany – especially for machined metal parts where tolerance, repeatability and confidentiality decide who gets qualified. MTB Metall from Upper Bavaria offers Swedish defence customers exactly this profile.
Our defence portfolio covers aerospace components, parts for land-based systems and armoured vehicles, mounts for sensors and weapon carriers, and housings for military electronics. Manufacturing runs on 3- to 5-axis CNC mills with up to 1,270 mm travel and on CNC lathes; TIG and MAG welding follows DIN EN ISO-certified procedures, and CAD/CAM programming secures repeatability from prototype to series. Aerospace- and defence-grade materials come via our certified partner, with BLACK MTB and XYLAN®-based coatings available as a service. NDAs and full traceability are routine.

Delivery & cooperation
Shipping from Wonneberg to Sweden stays within the EU, moving by road and established ferry links from northern German ports – a well-trodden freight lane for industrial goods. Distance is no obstacle to close cooperation: quoting, CAD/CAM data exchange, inspection documentation and release loops all run digitally, and video reviews keep projects moving between the occasional on-site visit.
