CNC Manufacturing for Defence Programmes in Italy
Italy’s aerospace and defence electronics industry is deeply woven into European joint ventures, and its supply chains routinely cross the Alps. What Italian system builders need from a northern partner is simple to state and hard to deliver: repeatable precision, dependable schedules and complete discretion. Those are exactly the standards MTB Metall works to as a Bavarian Meisterbetrieb.
We machine enclosures, covers and protective elements for military electronics, aerospace components, mounts for sensor and camera systems, and structural connecting parts. Our workshop runs 3- to 5-axis CNC milling with travels up to 1,270 mm alongside CNC turning, TIG and MAG welding to DIN EN ISO-certified procedures, and complete subassembly work planned in CAD/CAM. Titanium and aerospace-grade aluminium alloys arrive through our certified material partner; BLACK MTB and XYLAN®-based coatings add wear and corrosion protection. Production is fully documented and traceable.
Manufacturing for defence programmes
Aerospace & defence materials
Through our certified material partner we machine aerospace- and defence-grade alloys to AMS specifications – 15-5 PH, 17-4 PH, 13-8 MO, Alloy 625, 718 and A286. See Materials.
Mission-ready surface coatings
On request we deliver parts ready-coated: thin-film ceramic BLACK MTB (over 3,000 h salt-spray tested) or XYLAN®-based dry-film lubrication for fasteners – data sheets in our download area.

Delivery & cooperation
The route from Wonneberg to Italy is short: our facility in south-eastern Upper Bavaria lies near the alpine transit corridors, so EU-internal freight reaches northern Italian industrial regions rapidly and without customs handling. Day-to-day cooperation is digital – drawings, CAD/CAM data and inspection records flow both ways – and personal meetings are easy to arrange on either side of the Alps.
