CNC Machining for the Defence Industry in the Czech Republic
The Czech defence industry is growing quickly – and it does so right next door to Bavaria. Czech manufacturers of vehicles, weapon systems and electronics increasingly source machined components regionally, where short logistics routes keep programmes agile. Few foreign suppliers are as close as MTB Metall: our workshop in Wonneberg, Upper Bavaria, is within comfortable trucking distance of Czech industrial centres.
Czech defence customers use us for CNC-milled parts on 3 to 5 axes with travels up to 1,270 mm, CNC-turned precision components, TIG- and MAG-welded assemblies certified to DIN EN ISO, and fully mounted subassemblies. Typical applications range from armoured-vehicle components and mounts for sensors or weapon carriers to housings for military electronics. Aerospace- and defence-grade materials are procured through our certified material partner; BLACK MTB and XYLAN®-based high-performance coatings are applied as a service. Confidentiality is contractually secured by NDA.

Through our certified material partner we machine aerospace- and defence-grade alloys to AMS specifications – 15-5 PH, 17-4 PH, 13-8 MO, Alloy 625, 718 and A286. See Materials.
Mission-ready surface coatings
On request we deliver parts ready-coated: thin-film ceramic BLACK MTB (over 3,000 h salt-spray tested) or XYLAN®-based dry-film lubrication for fasteners – data sheets in our download area.

Delivery & cooperation
Bavaria and the Czech Republic share a border, and that proximity shapes the whole cooperation: freight from Wonneberg crosses into Czech territory without customs formalities and reaches most industrial regions within a day by road. Technical coordination happens digitally via CAD/CAM data and shared documentation, while short travel times make face-to-face meetings – in either direction – genuinely practical.
